· It’s that time of the year when gardeners all over the world travel to the grounds of a London Hospital and I am no exception! For five days in the month of May, the grounds of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea is turned into a floral extravaganza that is widely known as the greatest flower show in the world. If you have missed it this year, there’s always next year! Watch this space and you’ll hear all about my magical tour of the Chelsea Flower Show.

· Don’t be a couch potato this summer! It’s time to be out in the garden, digging, weeding, planting, mulching; the list is endless. Gardening and visits to the local gym or Yoga classes should help us win over the ‘battle with the bulge’!

· The legend lives on. The musical, ‘We Will Rock You’, by Queen and Ben Elton has changed the airwaves of Tottenham Court Road! As you come out of Tottenham Court Road Station, the powerful voice of Freddie Mercury engulfs you in nostalgia. Perhaps his music has chosen the month of May, to join the Indian theme at ‘Selfridges’ and the forth coming musical, ‘Bombay Dreams’; it’s no surprise when one remembers that Freddie is the first rock star from India! I assure you that it’s one musical that should not be missed! World Premier was on 14 May 2002, at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road, London; ticket hotline: 08700 11 26 26/ www.ticketzone.co.uk/ www.queenonline.com.

· Let’s hope and pray that commonsense prevail and we have peace at the Indo-Pakistan border soon.
